Hello!
My name is Slingene Ngidi. I am a 32 year old female. I am a fun, energetic and thoughtful woman.
Working in a school ignited my love for a teaching. I fell in love with the environment of sharing knowledge and the energy that comes with teaching and learning. Therefore I proceeded to study and obtain a TESOL certificate. Another reason for me to pursue a career in ESL was because I absolutely love meeting new people, learning new languages and cultures. During lockdown, I started to take learners from my school for part-time English lessons. I am still teaching online on part-time basis, however, i would like to make this my full time career.
When teaching, I like to first take some time and learn every learner's personality and their learning capabilities. This helps me to tailor my lessons acoording to each learner's needs. I believe that before learning can begin, both learner and teacher must iron out some stumbling blocks on the way so that learning can be kept as fun and captivating as possible.
