SELF INTRODUCTION

I'm an English teacher and author currently living in Canada. I teach language learners of all ages and all levels in one-on-one sessions as well as in group workshops. I also do writing tutorials for conventions and tutor students of all ages at local libraries. I also make videos online about language and linguistics. My interests are video games, manga, anime, and music.

BACKGROUND

I have a BA in English Language and Creative Writing, and I have a certificate for linguistics. I studied N5 level Japanese for several years, and can also speak French.

TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is very open and lighthearted, casual but thorough. I give detailed explanations and try to use humour to help students remember important language points. I tailor each lesson to the student's given needs and encourage students to bring their own backgrounds and talking points to class.
