Hi everyone!

I finished a Bachelor of Arts in English major in Literature and a minor in Linguistics. I have years of experience teaching ESL students. I am also very well-read and I love reading different kinds of pieces of literature.

While I was a university student, I was teaching Korean students English part-time. That served as my stepping stone in teaching ESL students. I really enjoyed that and that’s when I discovered my passion for teaching English. After I graduated from university, I flew to Thailand. I got a job as an English teacher in a government Thai school. I taught primary students, high school and senior high school. I really enjoyed that experience. I loved teaching Thai students. It was really exciting and at the same time challenging. Though there was a big language barrier, I was able to establish a good relationship with my Thai students.

After returning to the Philippines in 2018, I began teaching English online to Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese and other ESL students from different countries. I found the experience of teaching online to be satisfying. This may seem counter-intuitive. Surely staring at a computer screen is not as meaningful as being in a physical classroom with real live students. But what made online teaching wonderful was that I still get to see the students on the video and make face-to-face teaching possible. I could talk and interact with them as I would in an offline physical classroom setting, though there are some limitations. Teaching online made me more creative because it allowed me to devise some ways on how to get the students interested to learn. So, I have experience in both offline and online English teaching.

In September 2019, I moved to Japan. I started working as an English instructor at an English conversation school or Eikaiwa. I still work with them now but I also like the idea of teaching online. I want to be able to connect to help students offline and online. I can teach kids, high school students and adults. I can teach different age groups.

I am very friendly and I am easy to get along with. I also understand the difficulty English learners go through when learning English. I am enthusiastic in teaching English and my lessons are really relatable. So, I cannot wait to meet you all. Please come and join my online lessons!
