Hello, everyone! I'm Yuka, a Japanese language teacher.
I have been teaching Japanese at language schools and online for over six years,
offering a wide range of lessons from beginner to business level.
My specialty is supporting learners who want to enter a university or graduate school in Japan.
I can help with interview practice, proofreading of research proposals and statements of purpose,
and JLPT / EJU (Japanese) preparation.
Lessons are in Japanese, but I can explain in English when you get stuck.

[A Common Mistake]
I often see learners write their interview answers with a translation tool and then try to memorize them.
But this rarely works.
The words are not your own, so they are hard to remember—and above all, your passion does not come across.
Interviewers can tell.
[My Lessons]
Correcting your Japanese is actually not that difficult.
What decides the result is whether you can speak in your own words, even under pressure.
So simple words are perfectly fine.
We will build answers with words you can really use, and practice together until they become your own.
Then you can keep talking even when the questions change a little.
[Why I Teach Japanese]
I studied at a graduate school in Japan myself.
I have also watched people close to me come to Japan as international students and build careers as researchers here.
Because I have seen this journey from the inside, I want to support people who are seriously chasing their goals.
Motivated international students are a great strength for Japanese universities, too.
I would be happy to help you make your dream come true in Japan.
