Hello! Konnichiwa. My name is Sayaka. I'm a native Japanese speaker and certified Japanese tutor with 7 year's experience.
I've been living in NY state over 10 years.

I was born and raised in Hyogo, Japan and graduated from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies in British and American Languages. I worked in the Overseas Sales Division of Japanese Electric Company in Tokyo. I lived in San Francisco, Bermuda, London and NYC after Tokyo.

Started teaching Japanese in language school in Bermuda and taught in middle/high school in NY. I completed a course for a Japanese teacher training program in NYC with a certificate.

I currently teach Japanese in person and online. I work with students of all levels, from absolute beginner to advanced. I can provide a customized lesson for each student too. 

Japanese language has many particles and conjugated forms that can be confusing, and because of this, when making Japanese sentences, it is common to make mistakes in the order of words or use the wrong particles, resulting in sentences with different meanings.


Learn from simple particles and create easy sentences. By doing so, you will deepen your understanding of particles and gain confidence.

 
I also love to talk about Japanese culture, such as food, history, manga and anime!
