Hello! My name is Minhee, and I am a Korean language teacher.

I am a native Korean speaker who was born and raised in Seoul. I currently live in Namwon, a beautiful city near Jirisan Mountain.

I hold a nationally recognized Level 3 Korean Language Teaching Certificate. Since earning my certification in 2021, I have taught Korean to students from a variety of countries.

I majored in the haegeum, a traditional Korean string instrument, at university. I have also studied Korean and Chinese tea culture for the past 20 years.

I believe that language is not simply about memorizing grammar and vocabulary. It is a tool that connects people and one of the most important ways to understand a country’s culture.

That is why I create lessons that help students learn not only the Korean language but also Korean traditional culture and everyday life in a natural and engaging way.

I hold a nationally recognized Level 3 Korean Language Teaching Certificate.

Since earning my certification in 2021, I have taught Korean to students of various nationalities living in Korea.

I have worked with learners ranging in age from their twenties to their eighties. I have also taught students with a wide variety of language levels and learning goals, from complete beginners with no prior knowledge of Korean to learners who can already communicate in Korean but would like to learn Hangul.

Through these experiences, I have learned that every student has a different reason for learning Korean and faces different challenges.

Instead of following only one fixed textbook or teaching method, I provide personalized one-on-one lessons based on each student’s level, goals, and interests.

My lessons can cover a variety of topics, including basic Korean, Hangul, pronunciation and intonation, everyday conversation, Korean for travel, expressions from Korean dramas, free conversation, news, and Korean culture.

As a native Korean speaker who was born and raised in Seoul, I will also help you learn natural standard Seoul pronunciation and expressions that Koreans actually use in everyday life.

I am a language learner too, so I understand the difficulties you may experience.

Even after studying new vocabulary and grammar, you may find that the words do not come to mind when you try to speak. Sometimes, it may be difficult to understand what someone is saying, or you may hesitate to speak because you are afraid of making mistakes.

That is why I believe that making mistakes is a completely natural part of learning a language.

In my lessons, rather than trying to speak perfectly, I believe it is more important to listen a lot and practice speaking as much as possible.

Please feel free to ask questions whenever you do not understand something. It is perfectly okay to make mistakes.

I will explain everything slowly and patiently at your pace and help you express yourself in more natural Korean.

Complete beginners are always welcome.
