About me:
I am an open-minded and friendly individual offering a wide range of fun and informative English lessons to learners on Cafetalk! In terms of experience, I am a TEFL qualified teacher with over 3 years of tutoring experience for children ages 7-18, as well as 1 year of experience working in a school with 85% ESL (English as a Second Language) enrolment.
Reading lessons:
I LOVE reading, so primarily I will be offering lessons based on passages from a wonderful range of books that I have used for tutoring in the past. You can choose from some of the passages I suggest, or even bring your own reading to the lessons. These lessons can go one of two ways.
(1) A more focused studying session, in which we use the texts as an opportunity to improve your reading skills, initially scrutinising the vocabulary and phrases used, then going on to answer questions about meaning. These session will be catered to your level, but are designed to test your ability not just to speak/read English, but to understand English.
(2) These lessons will use passages to form the basis of discussions about a wide variety of topics and the conversation can go anywhere we like! From the environment, growing up, music, and history, to politics, making friends, culture, and daily conversation; my lessons are designed to have interesting discussions that will make your English learning journey even more memorable!
I will be adding more reading lessons to my list so that there are more texts to choose from, as well as a reading lesson pack. However, if you have any books/texts in mind you would like to go through, please let me know!
Conversational practice:
If reading lessons seem too focused for you and instead you are just looking to become a more natural speaker of English, then I also offer conversational practice lessons, in which we will have a normal conversation that seeks to get you speaking as naturally as you can!
We can talk about culture, politics, language learning, travel, and more. Anything that you want to be able to talk about, I am here to help you.

I am currently in the process of planning and creating lessons for English phonics and pronunciation, mainly for Japanese learners who want their accent to match their abilities!
Any other topics/subjects/methods you would like to use, please do not hesitate to ask. I am here to help you learn the way that you learn best!
