Joba Tutor Profile

Hello! My name is Joba, and I am a friendly and experienced language teacher based in the UK.

I am CELTA certified and have more than 10 years of experience working in education in the UK. I currently teach Arabic, and I also have experience teaching English online to learners from different backgrounds.

I lived in Japan for around eight years, so I understand Japanese culture and the challenges Japanese learners can face when learning English. I also speak some Japanese, which can be especially helpful for complete beginners who may feel nervous about speaking English.

In my lessons, I focus on practical, everyday English and building confidence step by step. We use pictures, simple questions, repetition, games and conversation activities. Mistakes are welcome because they are an important part of learning!

I particularly enjoy working with beginners and young learners. I adapt my lessons to each student's level, interests and goals, and I always try to create a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere.

I am a native Arabic speaker, fluent in English, and I also speak French and some Japanese. If you are interested in learning Arabic, I can also help you with Modern Standard Arabic and Moroccan Arabic (Darija).
