Hello all! I am a certified English Teacher specifically for other language speakers with 15 years of experience in education. I have been fortunate to teach more than 2.000 students from all over the world including Japan. The age range of my students varies from age 3,5 to age 72. Also, I taught all levels from beginners to advanced. As I taught students from different cultures, ages and language proficiency levels, I gained a solid background to provide great learning experience for my dear students.
My husband and I enjoyed living in snowy Minnesota, U.S.A. where is surrounded by gorgeous lakes. Then, we enjoyed living in sunny California, U.S.A. where is laid by the spectacular ocean landscape. We have recently moved to and been enjoying living in sunny Dubai, U.A.E. where is laid by the magnificent gulf coast.
Education:
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Finance. Later, I studied English with Dean's Honor degree at Century College in Minnesota, U.S.A. I then completed my Early Childhood Education study with Dean's Honor degree at San Diego Mesa College in California, U.S.A. and am eligible for Master Teacher certification. Also, I completed my English Teaching study with the grade of 100 at San Diego State University in California, U.S.A. and obtained my certification.
Professional Teaching Experience:
I have taught English at an International Language School's San Diego Campus in California, U.S.A. My lessons have covered all aspects of English teaching including Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, Grammar, Vocabulary and Idioms. I also had a mentorship and practicum at San Diego State University-American Language Institute. During my international teaching, I have had many students from Japan, so I have built excellent familiarity with Japanese culture and had a very pleasant communication with my students. In addition to English teaching, I have also been an early childhood education teacher with the specialization of Reggio Emilia approach. As a result of Reggio teaching method, I have expertized on student centered teaching, and absolutely enjoyed teaching young children.
Teaching Approach:
Interacting with students and helping them learn the subject they aim to is my passion. I truly love learning about different cultures and backgrounds. I know how challenging learning a new language can be as well as how successful you can be. I also understand what you are going through while you are acquiring a different language.
I embrace genuine and flexible attitude, so my teaching style is supportive and friendly. Making my students feel comfortable is a part of my approach, so they easily focus and enjoy their learning experience. My main goal is to meet my students’ needs and learning styles. Therefore, I would sincerely love to help you with becoming fluent and accurate in English! I hope to have a wonderful learning experience with you soon!
