Hello Everyone, my name is Bernadette and I am from Ireland. I have been an English teacher for the past two decades. By way of introduction to my own career journey, I initially geared my university
studies towards computing in the year 2000. However, I decided to take a gap year in Mexico and little did I know this would turn into a twenty-year venture. My career further blossomed teaching Business English to South American students. Upon returning to Spain two decades later, I opened a language school there.
My own teaching approach is entirely student-centred and participation and production are fundamental elements of any lesson, in order for them to gain the maximum benefit. I also like to bring real world application to the lessons so the student is invited to apply real world examples, when necessary, with the objective of relating those examples to their learning. My students have gone on to perform to the best of their ability and have often achieved beyond their required scores in examinations.
In my free time, I love reading about psychology, spending time with my family in the countryside and indeed, travelling. I look forward to working with you!
