I'm James. I've been a professional English teacher for over 18 years.
I have recently returned to live in the UK.
I moved to Japan in 2008. I lived in Tokyo for a year and then in beautiful Hokkaido, Japan. Now I live in a traditional village in Essex, England.
During my time in Japan, I taught children and adults. I worked in English conversation schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and many different businesses.
Since 2013, I worked for a private high school in Asahikawa. I loved helping the students improve their English and learn about other cultures.
I have experience and qualifications in teaching business English, medical English, and English for tourism. I am also qualified to teach TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, and EIKEN.
I'm also an author. I have written ESL textbooks and rhyming storybooks for children.
I'm looking forward to meeting you and helping you to achieve your English goals.
