Nice to meet you, I’m Mei, your teacher!
My name was inspired by Totoro! ;)
 
＜About Me＞
I grew up in the countryside in Japan, and I was a shy child.
To build my confidence, I focused on studying… haha.
 
After graduating from university, I had a chance to go to graduate school in South Korea.
When I started, I couldn’t speak Korean at all, and my English level was around TOEIC 600.
Also, my major was agriculture, so it wasn’t a language program.
 
Even so, after two years, I was able to have daily conversations in Korean and talk with friends naturally.
As for English, I improved by speaking a lot without worrying about making mistakes.
 
＜What does “learning” mean to me?＞
My motto is: “Learning should be fun and exciting.”
 
Everyone has things they love—things they are curious about.
That feeling of “I want to know more” has amazing power.
 
For me, that was the key to learning Korean.
I simply wanted to make friends and talk with them! ♡
I wanted to eat delicious Korean food! ♡ haha
And I fell in love with Korean dramas! ♡
 
Of course, tests and certifications are important.
But what I truly want to teach and share is communication.
 
You can connect with people even without language—this is true.
The most important thing is your feelings.
And when you add language skills, you can understand each other more deeply.
 
＜About My Lessons＞
First, I’d like to be honest—I don’t have formal teaching experience (only helping friends).
 
However, based on my own experience learning foreign languages—
including my struggles and what really helped me—
I would love to create lessons that match your interests and make learning enjoyable.

Kids, parents, grandparents—anyone!

こんにちは！Hello！
はじめまして、講師のメイといいます！
トトロから名づけられました！;)

＜自己紹介＞
わたしは日本の田舎で育ち、小さい頃は内気でした。
自分に自信をつけるため、とりあえず勉強に励む！！
大学卒業後、とあるチャンスで、韓国の大学院へ！
留学開始時は韓国語０。英語はTOEIC600程度。
さらに専攻は農学で、語学留学ではありませんでした。
それでも、2年後には、日常会話OK！友人とも韓国語で話していました！
英語に関しても、間違いを気にせず、話しまくって、上達。

＜学ぶとは…？＞
わたしの中での学びのモットーは”楽しく、わくわく”
人それぞれ、好きなことがあります。知りたいという気持ち。
その持つ力の大きさ、パワーはすごいんです！

わたしの場合、これが韓国語習得のカギでした。
単純に友達がほしい！話したい！♡
おいしい韓国料理をたべたい！♡
韓国ドラマにはまった！♡

もちろん資格や試験も大切です。
しかし、わたしが教える、一緒に学びたいのはコミュニケーション。
交流に言葉はいらない。これは事実で、1番大事なのは気持ち。
その上で、語学が身につくと、お互いの違いを知ることができ、
さらに深い関係づくりにつながります。

＜レッスンについて＞
はじめにお伝えしますが、講師経験はありません。（友人に教える程度）
しかし、自分が外国語を学ぶ過程でつまづいたこと、大事だったことを踏まえつつ、生徒さんの好きなことを交え、レッスンを進めていきたいと思っています。

小さなお子さんから、パパママ、じいじばあば皆さん大歓迎です！！
