Background
I majored in English and Japanese linguistics at university, specializing in becoming a Japanese language teacher for Japanese as a Second Language (JSL). During university, I completed teaching practice and helped my international friends with their Japanese studies. I also enjoy studying Chinese, which gives me insight into common mistakes made by Chinese speakers learning Japanese. If you'd like, I can teach in Chinese as well! I’m from Osaka, so I can speak in Osaka dialect too. To become an even better teacher, I’m working toward earning my official Japanese teaching certification.
Personality
I’m calm, kind, and patient. I like to keep things relaxed and free-flowing. Most importantly, I listen to my students because it helps you practice speaking more confidently.
Outside of Teaching
I’m currently studying abroad in Taiwan. Before this, I worked as a caregiver at an elder care facility. If you’re studying Japanese to work in caregiving, I’d be happy to help with that too!
Hobbies
I love cooking, enjoying delicious food, all things adorable, and I have a passion for both Japanese and Chinese languages.
