Hi, everyone! My name is arai (^^)

I have been teaching Japanese for 10 years and am currently a Japanese language instructor at a university. I have intermediate English skill and has been learning English for over 10 years.

I am polishing my English skills online still now, so I understand the experience that a language learner is going through. That's why, don't be afraid of committing mistakes, and let's just have fun learning Japanese together!

I have stopped accepting new students for about a year, but I will resume it for a limited time during the winter vacation☆ Although it is a limited period, I am looking forward to "一期一会 Ichigo-ichie" (which means "a once-in-a-lifetime meeting") with new students as well as regulars.

* "Beginner / Intermediate Japanese" lessons are still suspended.


【My Cafetalk lessons】

1. "Easy to talk to", "Fun", and "Interactive!" 

When I spoke English, I used to be nervous very much. (and still now!) From this experience, I value to make a comfortable atmosphere. I am good at listening and being patient. Also, I provide a lot of “output” opportunities to my students in every lesson.

2. Lessons and feedbacks are based on the theory of SLA.

I had a master's degree major in Japanese Language Teaching after 5years of teaching experience. My lessons and feedbacks are organized and based on the theory of SLA(Second Language Acquisition) as well as from my teaching experience. I will help you to improve your Japanese ability effectively;)

3.Communication-oriented lessons.

In my lessons, I focus on "speaking and production". For example, I do not follow the textbooks for "Beginner/Intermediate Japanese." To increase your speaking time, I use PowerPoint slides throughout the lesson. 

Regarding "Let's read News in Japanese! " gives you enough time to explain your opinions than to read an article during a lesson.
