Hello!

 I am teacher Jan Vincent Ong. I am a TEFL Certified Teacher and have a B.A degree on Integrated Marketing Communications. By profession, I do public relations and events for non profit organizations that are focused on children. The work has helped me travel around the world and even made me work in New York City for 6 months.

Why do I like teaching Japanese Students?

I have a passion for Japanese culture. I watch Terrace House and Super Sentai shows with English subtitles every week. I am also writing a book about about health and wellness using Japanese culture and philosophy. I would love to talk more about it with you.

What are my hobbies?

As for other hobbies, I'm a big fan of geek stuff like comic books, Lego collectibles, and sci-fi movies. I even act in improv comedy theater shows for fun.

My conversational English courses are designed to teach English through pop culture, your interests, and your profession. By listening to your needs, we can tailor lessons to fit your lifestyle.

I would like get to know the student first and create a lesson plan according to his or her background. After, I use this information as a springboard for the curriculum. Hope to talk with you soon!
