ABOUT ME

 


Hello! My name is Sarah. I was previously living in Osaka, Japan. I am now in England due to COVID-19, But I will be returning to Osaka in 2021. It has been a dream of mine to live and work in Japan. I have studied and graduated with a 1st Class BA Hons Degree in Interior Architecture. I also worked at Apple retail for nearly five years. During my time at Apple, I taught adults and children how to use the products and software through group and private lessons. I enjoyed meeting the customers and getting to know them. I also enjoyed seeing their progression in confidence.

 


When I was at university, I had to present seminars about my work and how I achieved certain designs. This would often be large groups of students. My classmates would often come to me to tutor them on certain software, and I always really enjoyed supporting and encouraging them to achieve their best work!
 
This inspired me to learn how to teach, and teaching English is something that excited me. During my time studying through TEFL, I have learned a lot about one on one lessons and how to structure helpful and supportive classes. I am currently working on large classes training. In my lessons with you, I hope to encourage you and help you feel more confident in speaking English! 

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS

I have always had a passion for design and architecture. I love traditional Japanese architecture specifically. I love learning new things and new cultures. My main hobby is photography. I have been a amature photographer for about 8 years. I also enjoy video games! Here are some examples of my photography.


TEACHING STYLE


My teaching style is based on your needs and goals with your language learning. Once you have let me know what you are aiming for I will put together classes that will help structure your learning journey, support you in feeling confident when speaking English, and hopefully be fun and engaging! I recommend trying an introduction lesson before booking regular lessons. My lessons are mostly aiming at those wanting to practice their conversational English!
