Self Introduction
 
Hello, I’m Laura from Mexico City. As an online Spanish tutor, I’m efficient, enthusiastic, detailed and punctual. I used all the experience I acquired in different schools and universities to teach online, therefor I understand how to communicate in an effective way with students from different parts of the world.
 
I am very sociable, open-minded, knowledgeable, and curious because I love to keep learning about the culture and countries of my students. I am very approachable and I am good at connecting with people. I am interested in my students because I want them to learn, and I look for the best way to support and encourage them so that they do not stop learning.
 

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Translation and Interpreting, and I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics. I also have several certifications in Methodology and Translanguaging. I have created learning materials for Dual Teaching that will soon be available for sale. I have over 25 years of teaching experience. I ran my own language school in Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo for 10 years.
 


                       

 Back in Mexico City, I have worked in different schools at all levels, both in face-to-face classes as well as online classes. I have worked at CEPE (Centro de Español para Extranjeros), UNAM.
 


I also worked for TEC de Monterrey where I was the Coordinator for the Language Center and Supervisor of the teachers.
 
       I also have more than 5 years of experience in Customer Service from different Call Centers. Currently, I am working on my Youtube channel and I post daily educational articles or videos on TikTok, Instagram, FB and Twitter.
I hope to see you soon in my classes and get to know each other better, so I can help you learn quickly!
