Hello. My name is Teacher Ryan. I have been an ESL teacher for the past nine years. For five and one half years I was working inside classroom, teaching students in Thailand. For the past three and one half years I have been working online, teaching ESL to Chinese students.
I have a 120-Hour TEFL certificate as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Nottingham.
I have sent the past ten years of my life living abroad, one year in Australia, several months in Vietnam, and eight years in Thailand. My time spent abroad has introduced me to a lot of different people and cultures. I am able to use my knowledge of people in my classroom, as this is important because each individual learns and understands in different ways.
For this reason, I like to focus my teaching on the student, addressing their needs, wants, and interests. Teaching in this way also makes learning more interesting for the student, and therefore, they are more likely to learn.
Outside of the classroom I like to be as active as possible. I often go swimming or visit the nearby beach with my family and friends. I also enjoy other sports, listening to music, and reading books.
