Hi, I’m David, a native English speaker based in Japan. I’m friendly and easy to talk to, but I also take your progress seriously. I enjoy helping students speak English with calm confidence. Whether you need English for daily conversation, work, travel, or personal growth. If you like lessons that feel natural and enjoyable while still being structured and productive, you’ll feel comfortable learning with me.

TEACHING BACKGROUND

My background is a mix of teaching, coaching, and real-world business communication, so my lessons aren’t just “textbook English.” I’ve taught students in both one-on-one and small-group style settings, working with different levels and goals. Over time, I’ve learned that many learners don’t just need more grammar—they need practical speaking practice, clear guidance, and a system to build confidence. Because I’ve also worked in professional environments where communication really matters, I can help you develop English you can use immediately in real situations.

TEACHING STYLE

I focus on the English you actually need: the phrases, rhythm, and structure that make you sound clear, professional, and genuinely natural. My lessons are supportive, practical, and personalized. I’ll help you speak more with less pressure, then I’ll give clear corrections and upgrades without constantly interrupting your flow. Depending on your goals, we can do free conversation with feedback, roleplays for work situations, structured speaking practice, or targeted pronunciation and clarity training. My goal is for every lesson to feel comfortable, useful, and clearly connected to your progress.
