Thank you for visiting my page. Before introducing myself in detail, I would first like to highlight my certifications and notable achievements, which demonstrate the level of expertise behind my instruction.
【Certifications and Notable Achievements】
• Cambridge English C2 Proficiency (formerly Cambridge CPE)
Passed at C2 in all five components (RLWS+Use of English)
Overall Score 215, Grade B
For those unfamiliar with Cambridge English C2 Proficiency, it is one of the most advanced and highly regarded English examinations. C2 is the highest level on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and in this examination, it is awarded to candidates who score between 200 and 230. For reference, Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology places C2 above a perfect score on Eiken Grade 1, IELTS 8.0, a perfect score on TOEFL, and perfect scores on both TOEIC Listening and Reading and TOEIC Speaking and Writing. Grade B is awarded to candidates with an overall score of 213 to 219, indicating that they have passed the exam well above the minimum C2 threshold.
Although they may not stand out as much as Cambridge English C2 Proficiency, I have also obtained the following certifications and achievements.
• Eiken Grade 1
Reading 100%, Listening 96%, Essay 100%, Summary 91%, Speaking 88%, Pronunciation 100%
Passed in the top 1% of examinees in the prefecture
Received the Eiken Foundation of Japan Encouragement Award
• TOEIC L&R Score 990
Achieved on my first attempt, without a single mistake (100% in all Abilities Measured sections)
【Introduction】
I started teaching English after first taking and passing Eiken Grade 1 in March 2021. Since then, I've been teaching English for more than five years to students from various backgrounds, including elementary school students living abroad, high school students preparing for university entrance examinations, and working professionals seeking to develop their English skills. Despite their different goals and circumstances, what they all have in common is a strong passion for the mastery of the English language. My main responsibility is to support them in the best possible way.
My lessons go beyond just providing accurate and natural English instruction backed by the highest-level qualifications. As a so-called "gifted" person with an IQ of 131 (approx. the top 2% of the population), my strengths also extend to teaching related yet often neglected cognitive skills, such as constructing logical arguments and making inferences from context. As a native Japanese speaker, I am also well equipped to help students prepare for entrance examinations at highly selective Japanese universities, including the University of Tokyo and Kyoto University.
