こんにちは! I'm Jane — and if you've ever felt like your English is "good on paper" but freezes the moment a real conversation starts, you're exactly who I love working with.
I didn't fall into teaching by accident. What keeps me here is a pattern I see constantly with Japanese learners specifically: incredible grammar knowledge, real vocabulary depth — and then a pause, a "how do I say this naturally?" moment, right before the sentence comes out. That gap between knowing English and using it confidently is my favorite problem to solve.
I'm TESOL-certified, and my lessons are built specifically around the patterns I've noticed teaching Japanese learners — things textbooks rarely address directly, like the instinct to over-hedge ("maybe... perhaps... I think, but..."), or reaching for the most "correct" word instead of the most natural one. Every lesson I design follows a Test–Teach–Test structure: I find out what you can already do, teach only the real gap, then get you using it immediately — no wasted time on things you've already mastered.
Think of my lessons less like a class and more like training with a coach who happens to know exactly where you'll stumble before you do. I'm structured — every lesson has one clear, specific "can-do" goal — but never rigid. My catalogue is built with genuine variety on purpose: TOEIC strategy one day, natural conversation flow the next, even flipping the script so you're the cultural expert explaining Japan to me (yes, really — try my "Explain It Like I've Never Been to Japan" lesson).
You don't need a fixed starting point — jump into whatever fits your goal this week. Trial lessons are available if you'd like a low-pressure first taste before committing.
If your English lives comfortably in your head but gets shy in your mouth, let's fix that together — one honest, useful lesson at a time. A trial lesson is the easiest first step. 頑張りましょう!
