Hello! My name is Kyoko, and I am a soprano singer living in Italy. Fascinated by Italian opera, I studied abroad in Italy from 2009 and have been based in Italy since then.
I would love to help you learn to use your voice more naturally and comfortably. I believe that there are many different approaches that can be taken to achieve this goal besides just focusing on vocal techniques, such as carefully checking the position of your tongue and the shape of your lips to improve the pronunciation of the language being sung, musical aspects such as phrasing, or freeing your thinking. I hope to find the best shortcut for each student according to their needs.
 
I am open to not only operas and canzones, but also choral parts, Japanese songs (shoka), and children’s songs. If necessary, I can arrange the music for you.
 
With Italian repertoire, just correcting the pronunciation often makes it much easier to sing. In addition, the impression of your performance can change dramatically if you are just a little more careful. I am not a native speaker of Italian, but I believe that this allows me to be attentive to the mistakes that non-native speakers tend to make. I also offer Italian pronunciation lessons.
 
I also offer lessons on Italian grammar and conversation from elementary level, as well as preparation for the CILS and CELI exams, as I hold a CILS C1. I can also help you prepare for entrance examinations for Italian music colleges, as well as preparation for written examinations (Italian language, music, music history, etc.).

Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Department of Vocal Music. Graduated from the Italian National Conservatory of Music in Parma with a perfect score, including praise and a special prize. Received a scholarship from the Zonta Club during my studies. First prize at the All Japan Student Music Competition. I was a semi-finalist in the Tebaldi International Competition. I have sung Susanna in the opera “The Marriage of Figaro”, Nella in “Gianni Succicchi”, and Serpina in “The Wife’s Maid”.
 
Ciao! Sono madrelingua giapponese, offro lezioni di Gipponese dal livello principiante al livello avanzato. Sono laureata in discipline musicali(canto) in Italia, insegno musica e giapponese privatamente da anni. Possiedo livello C1 della lingua taliana e B1 di inglese.
