Hello everyone! My name is Charlie and I am from Coventry in the United Kingdom, but I now live in Bath. I lived and worked in Kawasaki for almost eighteen months, before returning to the UK in March 2020. Now I am here to help you learn English here on Cafetalk! I am online every day so I can work with you at a time that suits you best. 

I am a big believer in practice makes perfect, and that a person will learn a language faster and easier if they are more confident when they speak. My lessons are more focused on learning how to talk about what you are interested in or what is important to you, rather than focus on endless grammar tables and word lists.

I want to encourage you to speak as much as possible, so I will be a patient and encouraging teacher to allow you to feel comfortable speaking. I have worked to qualify as a Level 3 TEFL English teacher and I am always studying to become a better tutor. 

I love sports and travelling, so I will often talk about these things when I introduce myself. I have lived and worked in Russia and Japan, as well as travelled around Europe. However, I studied history at university and am still very interested in history and culture from all around the world, so I will often ask questions and try to learn from you.

I can't wait to meet you!
