A big hello from New Zealand!
My name is Niki and I live in Auckland. I have 7 years of experience in teaching English as a second language to students from Japan, China, South Korea and Europe.
I am forty-one years old and I am a mum of 4 kids - 2 boys and 2 girls. My passion for teaching comes primarily from my family as we are doing a lot of homeschooling. I believe this is my big advantage as a tutor since I have a lot of first-hand experience with boys and girls, toddlers and teenagers.
I offer a few different types of lessons - a relaxed conversation about various topics, discussing breaking news, a lesson for kids, reading a book together, grammar lessons or proofreading essays. I am very patient and polite with my students, I adjust my speaking level and speed to the student's needs and correct the mistakes with a positive attitude and style.
I am excited to meet new cultures and make new friends, especially as my husband and I dream about living in Japan and exploring this amazing culture.
