My name is Mary (メリー), and I am a dance and exercise instructor.
 
I have studied various genres of dance, including Jazz dance, modern dance, and contemporary dance, which are still relatively new in Japan.
 
 There are so many things that I have learned and gained through dance, so I would love to share my experiences and knowledge with you through the wonderful tool of online lessons unique to this day and age.
 
 First of all, what I am most grateful for is that I am now able to maintain my physical health on my own. Since I started dancing, it has become easier for me to notice the changes in my physical condition, my feelings, and my weight, and I enjoy facing my body and feelings every day.
 
 Currently, there are many people who are suffering from lack of exercise and lack of sleep due to prolonged quarantine life and remote work, as well as those who are concerned about weight gain due to reduced daily exercise. I would like to help you improve your physical and mental health slowly and comfortably through dance exercises.
 
 I would like to share with you some of the exercises that I have learned in Japan, Europe, and other countries, combined with yoga and Pilates movements.
 
 
    If you have any of the following concerns, please take a look at my lessons.
 
・If you feel that you're not good at intense exercise.
 I myself am also not good at intense exercise other than dancing or exercise with quotas. I’ve never been able to stick with it (jogging, for example). and I usually stop doing them gradually. I have prepared some exercises that you can do anytime, whenever you have some free time. Please try the “Core Strengthening Exercises + Stretching (体幹を鍛えるエクササイズ+ストレッチ)” (25 minutes) first.
 
・If you’ve given up because you have difficulty losing weight.
 I also used to wonder that why I couldn’t lose weight when I was exercising and dancing so much! After taking dance lessons abroad, I realized how I had been stretching and dancing in a way that did not use my core muscles and was not suitable for my body. Also, by training my core muscles, my basic metabolism has clearly increased. As a result, I experienced a natural weight loss without even thinking about it. So, if you are struggling with weight management, I would be happy to help you out. I will recommend exercises for each student based on their body type, body frame, and lifestyle.
 I will also be happy to answer any questions you may have about your diet, to the best of my knowledge!
 
・If you lack motivation to workout on your own.
 Even if you decide to start exercising this time! It’s easy to get caught up in work and daily life and stop exercising, even if you have decided to start exercising.
In my lessons, I offer a variety of home exercises and dance exercises that you can do in a short time. If you don’t have the motivation to work out alone every day, or if you don’t have the time to take regular lessons, start with a short 15-minute workout session with me! I will help you until exercise becomes a part of your daily routine. 
 
 The best way to exercise is to enjoy it so that you can stick with it!
 What do you enjoy about exercising? When I think about it, I think it’s when I feel that my body has changed.
 Your body is a vehicle that you will use for the rest of your life. You can’t find replacements for it as easily as you can for clothes or shoes. That’s why you need to take care of it.
 From the time you are born until the end of your life, your body continues to grows just as your mind does. There will be changes. Will you be able to continue the exercises and muscle training you are currently doing 5 or 10 years from now? Does it suit your body?
 
 The 20 minutes of exercise that I do on a daily basis is suitable for me, and I believe that i will be able to continue doing it for a long time to come.
 
 I would like to offer you an exercise program that fits your lifestyle and makes you happy, healthy, and light-hearted.

~Profile~
 
 I have been interested in singing, dancing, and acting since childhood, and learned the basics of dance and acting at a musical school when I was in elementary school.
 At the age of 20, I started professionally dancing.
 I studied various genres of dance such as Jazz dance, modern dance, classical ballet, and contemporary dances mainly in Osaka.
 I moved to New York and London to improve my skills, especially in contemporary dance.
 While teaching dance to kindergarten children and Jazz dance for beginners as a freelance dancer in Osaka, I have also performed as a dancer in various venues.
In 2015, I moved to Berlin, Germany, to train as a professional dancer while also studying yoga and Pilates.
 
 I have been working as a dancer in Berlin in various genres such as stage performance, participation in film projects, and even street performance. I am also actively involved in my own projects, collaborating with photographers and street musicians, teaching choreography to participating performers, and creating my own works.
 
 I want to be someone who can cheer up the young generation who don’t know what they want to do or don’t have anything they like to do, and give them the strength to take the first step.
 
Currently resides in Austria.
