Bonjour, my name is Rio.
 
After graduating from high school, I went on to an university in a French-speaking region and completed my bachelor’s and master’s degrees with local students. During that time, I taught French to expatriate employees of Japanese companies and their families.
 
My conversational French is now almost at a native level, and I can speak with such natural phrasing and pronunciation that even French speakers do not notice that I am a foreigner, but I originally learned French as a foreign language from the alphabet. I am not only bilingual, but I have also experienced frustrations and failures, and have spent a lot of time learning French, so I believe I can help you learn French.
My strength is that I understand what is difficult for Japanese speakers and how to explain it in a way that is easy for them to understand.
If you have questions about grammar that native French speakers cannot answer, I can explain them in detail in Japanese.
 
If you speak some French, I will teach you in French, and if you are a beginner, I will teach you in Japanese.
If you are not yet brave enough to speak one-on-one with a native speaker, or if you would like to talk freely in French but with explanations in Japanese, or if you would like to ask a variety of grammar questions in Japanese, this is the lesson for you.
(I am Japanese, so I recommend that advanced level students take lessons with native speakers.)

I have been studying French since I was 10 years old, and took French as my first language in junior high school.
