WELCOME!

My name is Rebecca and I'm from Melbourne, Australia.

I lived in Yokohama Japan for four years (2018-2022). Now I live in Melbourne again :)

~ABOUT ME~

I am a native English speaker and can speak a little Japanese too. 

I don't have a strong Australian accent, so please don't worry! 

I have been teaching English for 3.5 years and have a TESOL certificate.

I have a degree in International Communication and have lived in three different countries.
I previously worked at GABA eikaiwa for 3.5years.

Before I moved to Japan, I worked in retail fashion for 8 years, so I have a lot of customer service expereince. 

I love meeting new people, listening to KPOP (I love Super Junior and Shinee) and JPOP (King Gnu and Kenshi Yonezu), reading mystery books, travelling, shopping, and eating delicious food!  I also watch Netflix and AmazonPrime. I am currently into Korean Dramas, Chinese Dramas, and Anime. 

I have travelled to 13 different countries. My favourite foods are sushi, shaved ice, fried chicken, nasi lemak and pavlova.

~ABOUT MY LESSONS~

All my lessons are student-focused. I'm a great listener and patient teacher. Let's work together to achieve your English goals.

My lessons are flexible, easy, no stress, and fun. 

I will always provide you helpful and soft mistake corrections.
I provide lots of notes and write feedback at the end of every lesson, so you can review easily!

I can teach beginner to intermediate/advanced level English. 
I have experience teaching kids, JHS and HS students, university students, homemakers, shop staff, business people, engineers, doctors, researchers, and lawyers and many other people. 

 

I focus on conversation abilities- listening and speaking naturally, as well as intonation and pronunciation.

I enjoy learning about my students' interests! I want you to be able to relax and have fun while gaining the confidence to speak in English. 

I can also help you study for IELTS, TOEIC AND EIKEN. I have helped past students increase their TOEIC scores.
