Hello! My name is Takuya and I am a tutor.

I have taught elementary through high school students and students who once failed their entrance exam, as a home tutor and cram school tutor.
In total, I have more than 15 years of teaching experience.

Subjects were mainly English, mathematics, Japanese, and social studies for elementary and junior high school students, and English and essay writing for high school students.

I am also an active performer and I have experience in teaching piano for beginners.


I offer lessons during the daytime for children who cannot go to school and for adults as a hobby.

〈What I value in teaching〉

①Study methods and making my students feel that they can learn on their own
As a student, you can learn from adults, but when you enter the workforce, it will be important for you to research and learn by yourself.
In order to be useful in the future, I try to weave into my teaching method not only the content of study, but also how to study and how to make yourself want to learn.
My goal is to make you feel that you don't need a tutor anymore.
Although I would feel a bit sad.. (haha)

②Don't be afraid to make mistakes
Mistakes in study are steps to get right the next time.
I try to help my students understand that they can learn from their mistakes, rather than turning away from them.

③Have fun learning
I also like movies, manga, and video games, many of which contain English expressions that you would learn in textbooks.
I sometimes introduce such subjects to my students to keep them interested in learning.
