Firstly.. Of course I am a native speaker of English, but as you can see I can teach BOTH English and Japanese ;-)

I studied Japanese in the UK, my Japanese is fluent. 日本語はNative並みです。

PERSONAL BACKGROUND
First let me tell you about myself... (I will update this)

1) Me
I am a British citizen from Manchester, UK



I living in Nishinomiya near Osakain Japan. I have lived in England, Scotland, Australia (Melbourne), Japan (Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo). 

2) Study
I first studied Computer Science in the UK and then Studied Japanese and Linguistics. I also studied Education in Australia. 
3) Professional
My first profession was as a Software Engineer, so I have experience in technical languages, and can teach technical English and translation.
I teach languages at university level in Japan (Japanese to international students, English to Japanese students).
I also teach Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition - how to teach/learn languages to people who want to be teachers. 

TEACHING STYLE
First of all I will talk with you about YOUR NEEDS and we will negotiate a learning method for YOU.
I am very relaxed in teaching, I teach a lot of conversation, so I like talking and thinking about current issues together. I am sometimes a little pedantic on mistakes, but not too harsh! But I will help you improve your ACCURACY as well as FLUENCY for communication.

If you learn English or Japanese with me, I can understand many of the problems you have, as I know both Japanese and English in terms of language problems, but also for meaningful communication. I also like jokes a lot! 

INTERESTS
I am interested in Football (I'm from (RED) Manchester!) and driving my Mini Cooper car all over Japan. I love travelling.

Finally I am looking forward to hearing about YOU.. let's enjoy learning together, both language and our cultures!!!
