Mari sensei's class is one of my favorite times of the week. I consider it almost like active meditation. I'm able to concentrate on something completely different from day-to-day life with Mari sensei and I get so much out of it. More than just learning Japanese, which I am excited about and learn more every class, I feel like I'm bettering myself and accomplishing something that expands my worldview. It's so easy in America to ignore the rest of the world, but there is so much beauty out there. This class is like a doorway into that beauty. Japanese is challenging, and Mari sensei has a subtle, yet fun disposition when it comes to teaching, where I feel like things are simple but I've actually tackled difficult topics. When I have a hard day at work or have trouble accomplishing things, having this class as a change of pace is refreshing and exciting. I am very thankful for this class and enthusiastically recommend it for anyone. I look forward to learning more in the future, and working hard so that I can eventually take a Japanese Language Proficiency Test!

レッスンを受けている息子が日本語で挨拶をするようになり、日常的に日本語で言えるところは日本語で言おうとしてくれるようになりました。
先生の熱心なレッスンのおかげで、日本語は難しいから無理というスタンスから話してみようという気持ちに変化したようです。
レッスンで感銘を受けたのは、毎回、今日はこれを習得してもらうというトピックをクリアにしてレッスンをしてくださる所です。そして、理解できたか、使えるかをチェックしてくださるので、小さなステップを上っていけるのがわかります。　語学はやるかやらないかだなって本当に実感しています。　どんなレベルの方にもおススメします。　とっても、充実した時間になりますよ。

My son has started taking lesson with Teacher Kyon. Because of her, my son started trying to say daily Japanese greeting and speak basic conversation which he learned from Teacher Kyon. He used to say that Japanese is way too difficult, and it is impossible to learn!! Now he confidently started saying Japanese phrases as much as he can. It is amazing to see him changed his mind. Many thanks to you, Teacher Kyon.

She always makes sure that my son understand and knows how to use phrases he learns in lesson. Learning language often makes us feel overwhelmed; however she divides into small steps, so it makes learning easier and achievable.

She is wonderful and very passionate teacher. Strongly recommend to all the skill leveled Japanese learners!

This morning, we did L16 in 大家的日本語, and it seems like some uses start getting more and more complicated and difficult.
However, Teacher Yuki is always very patient, listens to your questions carefully, and provides easy-to-understand answers as well.
In addition, whenever you're doing oral practices, Teacher Yuki also listens attentively to if you used short sounds or not, so it's very good to develop good speaking habits with Teacher Yuki.

先生はとっても優しいです。時々面白い話題をあげたら、わたしはテンションが上がって、よく喋るようになりました。先生は、私の話をずっと聞いてくれまして、すごく優しいです。時々生活面と文化の質問があっても、先生は全部詳しく教えて、たくさん日本に関する知識をもらえました。時々、先生の話を遮たが、先生は一回でも私の話を遮たことはないです。やっぱりこれから自分はこの点に注意しなければならないところです。日本の方々のマーナはすごくよくて、学ぶべきだ。

身体がすごく伸びました。骨盤のレッスンでしたが、全身の巡りが良くなるようなポーズがたくさんありました。先生の説明もわかりやすかったです。細かく私のポーズも確認してくれて、大人数のレッスンではできない体験でした。私のペースに合わせていただき、大変心地よい時間を過ごせました！
