My Favorite Hero-- Atomboy

Ever since I was 3 years old my favourite (Super)Hero was Atomboy. I would wake up every morning at 6am to watch it on TV in Canada on our black and white TV set.

I realized many years later that almost all the names of the characters had been changed from the original Japanese version. I didn`t have any siblings so when I was little I thought it would be really cool to have a brother like Atomboy. He would always be there supportive, protective and cool person to look up too. That was my thought at 3 years old.

Unknowing to myself and my family this would be the small spark to begin my journey through life that would eventually lead me to living in Japan, married to a Japanese man.

Never would I have imagined the little girl watching Atomboy would be so far from her countryside Canadian home.

I hope someday I will be able to visit the Tezuka Osamu Museum, so i can see the true beginnings of the character Atomboy that started me on such an amazing life journey.
