My favorite musical piece is "Canon in D", which was composed in about 1860 by Johann Pachelbel in Nuremberg, Germany.
I find it beautiful: the melody repeats itself, giving it a comforting familiarity. The different musicians play together in perfect harmony to form an even more beautiful whole.
To me, the melody is also uplifting because it seems to show hope for the future and an appreciation for the beauty of the world.
You simply cannot help but feel better after listening to this song.
Maybe this is one of the reasons the song “Canon in D” has become a favorite song at weddings.
