私はあまりミュージカルを見る事がありません。
ミュージックコンサートやライブに行くことが多いです。ミュージカルは数年に１度見たらいい方だと思います。
そんな私が今でも忘れられないのが、サンフランシスコのPlayhouseという劇場で見た、”オペラザの怪人”です。
留学していた私を訪ねて母と姉が、日本からサンフランシスコに来てくれました。２人を連れて見る初めての海外のミュージカルでした。こじんまりとした劇場で、私はそれほど期待していませんでした。
いざ始まって見るとファントム役の俳優の歌声が素晴らしい！心に響く歌声。どうやったらあんな声が出せるのだろうと驚きました。しばらく耳から離れなくなるくらいすごかった、今でも忘れられません。アメリカに来て初日だったため、横にいた母と姉は、口を開けて寝ていました。・・・２人のリクエストだったはずですが（笑）
その後、映画でも「オペラ座の怪人」を見ましたが、やはりミュージカルの方がインパクトがあってすごかったです。もうあの俳優さんはいないと思いますが、機会があればいつかまた見たいなぁと思います( ＾∀＾)

What is your favorite musical?
I rarely see musicals. I often go to music concerts and live performances. I think it's good to watch musicals once every few years.
What I still remember is the "Phantom of the Opera" I saw at the Playhouse theater in San Francisco.
My mom and sister came to San Francisco from Japan to visit me when I studied abroad. It was my first time to watch overseas musical. It was a small theater and I didn't expect much.
My mom and sister, they were pretty excited about it.
When I started watching it, the actor's singing voice who plays the Phantom was amazing! A singing voice that touched my heart. I was surprised how I could make such a nice voice. It was so great that I couldn't get out of my ear for a while, and I still can't forget it...
It was the first day my mom and sister came to America, so they were sleeping with their mouths open next to me during the musical. It was their request to see the opera... xD
After that, I saw "Phantom of the Opera" in the movie, but it was not as amazing as the musical. I don't think there is that actor anymore, but if I have a chance, I would like to see it again someday!
