Crazy And Funny Facts You Should Know

2020-07-22

Dear Readers.

It feels wonderful to be back after a while. It has been a hectic two weeks, and I hope you are all doing well.

First, I have some good news. I have reached 300 lessons with Cafetalk!

Thank you to all the students for the memorable lessons. We always have much fun during lessons.

I am, of course, looking forward to seeing all of you.

These days, the weather in southern Thailand is good. The temperatures are low during the day.

I am thrilled to bring you another sizzling installment of Crazy And Funny Facts You Should Know.

This time, we are visiting our friends in Africa and Asia.

The elephant is a big and graceful animal.

But did you know that;

Elephants can run, but they don't JUMP!. Elephants have many admirable qualities: They have an excellent sense of smell, rarely get cancer, and have complex social lives. But, perhaps unsurprisingly, they can't jump.

Despite what you may have seen in your Saturday morning cartoons, elephants can't jump. Unlike most mammals, the bones in elephant legs are all pointed downwards, which means they don't have the “spring” required to push off the ground.

This was a big surprise for me. I have watched too many movies, I guess.

But, who could blame them? They are huge!

I hope you enjoyed reading this funny fact. I will be back soon with another installment of Crazy And Funny Facts You Should Know.

Enjoy the rest of the week.
