Come across

Sep 6, 2020

I enjoy taking pictures in Kyoto, I often come across interesting things. Today, I came across a very old postbox and an interesting statue. The postbox is from the 1960s' and it reminded me of old British postboxes. The statue was of a man reading a book while carrying a heavy load on his back. I hope to find out the history of the statue.
Come across (偶然)出くわす, is a useful phrasal verb that shows we found something interesting we were not looking for.
