Simit & Smith: Turkish Tea Time in the U.S.A

Momo Sensei

Simit is a traditional bread eaten throughout the Balkans and Mediterranean for breakfast and as a snack during the day. Often called a “Turkish Bagel,”  Simit are actually softer and lighter on the inside and crunchier on the outside than a bagel.

Just 2 years ago Simit&Smith opened the first shop in New York that they introduced a huge success in America in a short time. While the number of branches in New Jersey are reaching to 6, the first franchise agreement was done by Mr. Bayram from Toros Restaurant in Paterson.

Bagels & Smith, CEO Gökhan Cakmak was signed the second agreement today with Zeynep Kocabalkan and Basar Akkuzu in Washington, DC.

Simit lovers are lucky to taste our traditional flavors in Georgetown which is the most enjoyable location and two floor historical building in.
