It's new, not difficult.

Jon Sensei

One common issue I always experience as a teacher, is hearing students, when they see something new, say, 'Oh, that's difficult.'

It only looks difficult. It's actually new.

New things only look difficult because youu don't know them.

This is a lesson many people understand, but regularly forget.

This is natural. It's natural to find something new difficult. That's fine.

What isn't fine is not faing something new with a better attitude.

Understanding, misunderstanding, and correcting what you know is 75% of the learning process. And that's the point of learning: failure in a safe place.

So face the new, scary thing, and prepare to fail a million times with it in class. That means you will get it right when it counts.
