Hello everyone!!
So, about a year ago, my partner and I got officially or legally married, and we ended up crashing the wedding of his sister.

But on Friday the 17th of June, we finally were able to celebrate and party with all our friends and family too!
The wedding took place on Lake Como, a beautiful lake near Milan in Italy. It was a pretty busy, exhausting, but spectacular weekend. It started with a pre-party/welcome dinner on Thursday, where we invited all the guests for a dinner in a garden.

Then, the wedding itself started at 5.30 pm on Friday, and ended at 3 am!
At the wedding, we started with a small ceremony where my partner and I both said our vows (actually, I sang instead!) Then, I had to fix my dress, and we did our first dance - where we danced to the song Merry Go Round from the movie Howl's Moving Castle! My favourite film ever!!

Finally, we just danced on the dance floor and there was a big buffet where people could take food whenever they wanted. I had a dress change (and shoe change) so that I could actually dance!

Then we had to cut the cake (which actually was fake) and people got to eat the cake.
At 11pm, we had to move the dancing indoors, due to strict noise policies in Italy.
On Saturday we just chilled out by the pool and at night invited our friends for a goodbye dinner to thank them for coming to spend the weekend with us!
I'm writing this column from Portofino, where I'm spending two days winding down with my family.
I'll see you all soon!

Have you ever gotten married? Did you have a dress change? Did you also change your shoes? If you haven't, tell me how you'd like your wedding to be!
