The Festival of Lights

Tutor Mercy

Every country has its own festivals that all people enjoy celebrating! In India, we have a number of festivals and it is Diwali that is being celebrated today. This is also called the Festival of Lights as it emphasizes the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance and good over bad. It is a tradition to light lamps, decorate our homes, share sweets with neighbours and so much more.

I see most students who are eager to know more about the Indian culture and I love to break stereotypical thoughts that people may have. If you are interested to know more, I'd love to share interesting aspects of my culture with you.
