“hodo” and “kurai” 「ほど」と「くらい」②

きょうは、　「ほど」と「くらい」の　使い方（つかいかた）の　2回目（にかいめ）です。

This is the second blog on how to use “hodo” and “kurai”.

きのうの　１つめの　例文（れいぶん）では、「ほど」は　使えて、「くらい」は　使えませんでした。

In the first example sentence in yesterday’s blog, we couldn’t use “kurai”.

●今日（きょう）は　昨日（きのう）ほど　寒くないです。

（×くらい）

今回は、「くらい」のみが　使うことができる　例文です。

Today, we look at the sentence in which only “kurai” is grammatically correct.

●今日（きょう）は　昨日（きのう）と　おなじくらい　寒いです（さむいです）。

Today, it is as cold as it was yesterday.

×今日は　昨日と　おなじほど　寒いです。

同じ（おなじ）　程度（ていど）を　言い表す（いいあらわす）ときは　「くらい」のみが　つかえます。「ほど」はつかえません。

When we say some things are at the same degree, we can only use “kurai” (we cannot use “hodo” in this case).

「ほど」と「くらい」の　使い方（つかいかた）は　JLPTのN3レベルの　文法（ぶんぽう）ですね。
