Is your goal to learn english this year?

2023 has begun, international travels are slowly rising! Many have set their new years resolution to lose weight, make or save more money, and even learn a language! May for you, its English!

This is a fantastic goal. However where to start? Thats the hard part! The internet is full of video and tried and tested methods of how to successfully study english. But maybe the issue is, none of these are tailored to your specific need! Thats where tutors like myself come in.

My english lessons are student centered. This is what makes my classes great for all levels!
If you are learning with me for the first time, the first lesson will be spent to established goals. I like to limit it to 3 goals ever quater of the year, that way you know that you only have three things to focus on and work towards!
Examples of some goals my students in the past have set were:
1. Speak english for 1 min (whether describing my day or week.)
2. Keep a language journal.
3. Learn and use 5 vocabulary in my daily life.
After the first lesson we get down to business. You will never leave a class without something to practice or apply in your day to day life, and the homework you will be given are centered around your goals making sure that when the time comes, and we need to do a review of the first three months, you can specifically see where and how you have improved.

All the materials are provided by me, however you need to do your part. I always tell my students that a language journey is 80/20. 80% is your job and 20% is mine. However with patience and dedication we can both become a better version of ourselves. You will be a better english speaker and I will be a better english teacher.

Like my favourite Japanese quote says: 塵も積もれば山となる. Although your effort may seem as not enough, little by little you are building your language mountain!!
