Describing Charts, Graphs and Data

Suja

Do you struggle with describing data presented in charts?

Using the right vocabulary is essential to convey information clearly , especially at meetings or in writing through reports.

Let’s look at some vocabulary to convey a decrease in numbers and that describe how fast or slow something decreases:

Decrease sharply

Fell slowly

Gradual drop

Dipped briefly

Adverbs can be used to describe change effectively.

The words in red can be used to describe how quickly your numbers decreased, dropped, or fell.

Now, think of what term you might use to describe numbers that go up and down continuously.
