Subject-verb agreement

Ren Walt

Subject-verb agreement is usually pretty simple, but it can be confusing sometimes.

Subject-verb agreement is a rule that says the verb in a sentence has to match the number, person, and gender of the subject. Although it can be tricky to learn at first, with practice, it gets easier. Sometimes plural subjects don’t have an “s” at the end, there are exceptions to the rules and sentences that begin with “there is” or “there are.” To improve your subject-verb agreement skills, you should memorize the rules and practice applying them to different sentences.
