Quick tips: how to say “nothing”

Zach McLaughlin

Did you know that there are actually many ways to say “nothing”? Some of the alternatives include zilch, zip, zippo, nada, naught, and, perhaps the funniest-sounding one of all, bupkis. Let’s see some examples:

Ex. We did absolutely zilch last weekend!

Ex. They have done zip to fix the problem.

Ex. A: How much did you earn?

      B: Zippo!

Ex. There was no explanation, no greeting, no pictures, nada.

Ex. We tried our best, but it was all for naught.

Ex. You know bupkis about computers!

So, the next time you need to say “nothing,” how about doing it in style?
