ブラジル、秋に旅して。　　Traveling to Brazil in autumn.

家族(かぞく）でブラジルに移住（いじゅう）した友人を訪（たず）ねて、ブラジルを訪（おとず）れたとき、5月でした。日本では春ですが、あちらは冬のはじまり、暑い国とはいえ、床（ゆか）の冷たさが「秋なんだなあ」と実感（じっかん）しました。リオデジャネイロやイグアスの滝、観光名所（かんこうめいしょ）を楽しんだ後、サンパウロからサントスに向かう峠道（とうげみち）、霧（きり）がかかって、まるで日本の「水墨画（すいぼくが）」のよう、「ここってブラジル？日本みたい。」なにか、懐（なつ）かしさをかんじる風景でした。サントス海岸で遊んだ後、ちょっとだけ大西洋の海水（かいすい）をなめてみました。「う-ん、塩辛くない。太平洋の海水と違う！」そんな味でした。サントス海岸の砂（すな）の色と共に、はじめての海外旅行での忘れられない思い出になりました。

It was May when my husband and I visited friend's family who had immigrated in Brazil.It's spring in Japan, but it's the beginning of winter over there, and even though it's a hot country, the coldness of the floor made me realize it was autumn.After enjoying Rio de Janeiro, Iguazu Falls, and other tourist attractions, the mountain pass from São Paulo to Santos was foggy and looked like a Japanese ink painting [Suibokuga] I thought, ``Is this Brazil? It's like Japan.''I felt nostalgic from that.After playing at Santos Beach, I took a lick of the Atlantic Ocean water."Hmm, it's not salty. It's different from the seawater of the Pacific Ocean!" That's what it tasted like.Together with the color of the sand on Santos Beach, it became an unforgettable memory of my first overseas trip.
