Writing techniques for expository writing

Thirzah

Expository writing is the technique used to write non-fiction texts such as science papers.
You might not write in this way very often but it is still an important technique to master.

You will find text written in an expository style whenever you are being given information or need to learn about something. Here is a good example of an expository text.

Note that the writer doesn't use any persuasive techniques.

I teach using high-quality materials that will help you learn through conversation and reading comprehension.

Can you answer these questions?

Maybe you would like some help answering the questions or to learn more about expository writing techniques. If so then book a language arts lesson with me.

This practice text is written using an expository technique. It is easy to categorize because the writer doesn't use first-person pronouns or give an opinion.

As well as learning about expository writing I can help you with persuasive, descriptive and narrative techniques too. I look forward to meeting you soon.
