Fall is well underway here in Southern Ontario, Canada. Many leaves have changed colour and dropped from the trees. A few plants still have flowers, like the pretty yellow perennial Sneezeweed in my main photo. This last week, however, the weather has become too cold for bees and other pollinators that could be seen earlier in the month in my garden. Blossoms that have lingered into October include several perennials.

Fleabane (perennial)

Canada goldenrod (perennial)

Heath aster (perennial)

New England aster (perennial)
I love this time of year, but I will miss all the flowers as temperatures continue to drop and we head into winter. Is it warm enough now where you live for flowers to bloom in your garden or the parks? What are the signs of Autumn you notice? Book a lesson with me and we can talk about gardening, seasons, changes, or whatever you would like to discuss.
