Setting small goals for the month of June

Teacher Pee

One small step can still take you somewhere new.

June is a great time to reset and start fresh. But instead of creating a long list of goals that feel difficult to keep, why not focus on small goals this month?

Small goals can feel less stressful and easier to fit into daily life. Over time, those small actions can turn into meaningful progress.

Here are a few simple ideas to try this June:

  • Learn 3 new English words each week
  • Read one short article in English every weekend
  • Practice speaking English for 5–10 minutes a day
  • Write one sentence about your day before going to bed
  • Listen to a short English video while having tea or coffee

Try this quick reflection:
• What is one thing you would like to improve this June?
• What small action can help you get started?
• How many minutes can you realistically commit each day?

Remember, progress does not always come from doing more. Sometimes it comes from doing something small consistently.

As part of setting small and realistic goals, you could also try my 15-Minute Quick Chat Lesson on Cafetalk. It is designed for busy learners who want short, relaxed English conversation practice that easily fits into their day.

What small goal will you set for yourself this June?
