I don't watch a lot of TV, but I do like movies from the 80s. I like the *nostalgia that I feel when I watch them – the music, the clothes and the fact that life seemed a little simpler without smartphones and social media!
One movie I would recommend is Back to the Future. It was released in 1985 and stars Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, a teenager who accidentally travels back in time to 1955 in a Delorean car.
It's funny, entertaining and easy to watch, but I also love seeing what life was like in a completely different time. Marty even gets to meet his parents when they were teenagers, which leads to some very **awkward situations!
It's one of those films that I can watch again and again. It's also part of a ***trilogy, so if you've never seen it, give it a try – and if you have, tell me what your favourite 80s movie is!
*Nostalgia = a warm, sometimes slightly sad feeling you get when you remember happy times from the past.
**Awkward = uncomfortable, embarrassing, or difficult, especially in a social situation.
***Trilogy = a series of three books, films, plays, or other works that are connected.
