To get to Northern Ireland, I got a ferry! The ferry crossing is two and a half hours to Belfast, the capital city of Northern Ireland. I enjoyed the ferry journey a lot. The ferry was huge, with several different cafés, restaurants and even a small cinema!
I did a bus tour of the coast of Northern Ireland to see as much as possible. Our tour guide talked a lot about the history, including the Troubles of the 1980s and 1990s. This is the reason why Northern Ireland was so dangerous at that time, and was mainly due to tensions between Catholics and Protestants. It's a complicated history, but important to know if you travel there. So, if anyone is planning a trip to Ireland, I recommend you look up as much about the history of the 20th century as possible before you go!
We saw the famous UNESCO world heritage site the Giant's Causeway, which is a natural rock formation on the coast. The story is that it was made by giants!

The main point of out trip was actually to visit the Game of Thrones Filming Studios! Game of Thrones was filmed in different places, but a lot of it was filmed in Northern Ireland. The studio tour was really fun, you can see a lot of the real sets where the series was filmed, as well as the real costimes the actors wore. There were also exhibits explaining about the process of making the series, from the set design, props design, costumes etc....

It was a wonderful weekend trip, greatly recommended for any Game of Thrones fans!
